What to see in Villarrica

| Located in Pedro de Valdivia
Avenue it shares their dependences with the Municipal Library
of the city. Inside it is possible to find archaeological
material of the neolithic time, instruments lithic prehispanic,
mapuche ceramics , ethnic material of the mapuche culture
such as female jewels and leather and silver products Also
it conserves historical documents like highlight maps and
telegrams of origins of the Conquest.

Located at the
end of the General Korner street beside the Villarrica Lake.
The pier has a concrete ramp and roadstead (artificial lagoon)
for smaller crafts. It is an ideal place to go for a walk,
to practice nautical sports and to obtain a beautiful view
of the lake and the Villarrica Volcano.

corner of Pedro de Valdivia Avenue and Julio Zegers street,
it is an exact copy of the mapuche houses made of totora and
jonquil, what makes it resistant to the water and the wind.
In the same place every summer took place an interesting sample
of mapuche culture.

Located in the
corner of Camilo Henriquez and O'Higgins, it is a construction
of beautiful architectural lines. It was built among the years
1950 and 1958 by the Italian artist Giulio Digirolamo.

It is located in the General
Urrutia Street. It has a great quantity of bushes with attractive
colors, also trees like araucarias, mañio, notros,
pine oregón, raulí, etc.

Built in 1950 it name is in
memory of the Spanish Captain who died as a martyr in 1602.
It is the point of north access to Villarrica.
From here you have a panoramic view of the city, the lake,
the volcano and the birth of the Toltén river.

| The area of the
Toltén Valley, constitutes a sector of great relevance
since it was a road of natural communication among the precordilleranos
sectors. The Toltén also served as south frontier of
the mapuche territories. In the proximities of the city of
Villarrica it is possible to find vestiges of Spanish fortifications
of the XVI century: "I siege Historical of Villarrica",
"Malloco", "The Enclosure" in the sector
of Molco and the "Outpost" in Challupén.
It fits to highlight that they are still in
recovery state for what absolute care should be had in not
causing alterations in the previously mentioned places. |

| Located in General
street Urrutia almost arriving to Carrera street. This place
has been declared National Monument in 1994, for the Council
of National Monuments. They are the only ruins that survive
of the old city and of which tiles, metallic elements and
foundations of constructions have been rescued that could
correspond to the Villarrica Fort. |
| Located in the
route to Loncoche, it doesn't have equipmenst, but however,
it is possible to obtain a general and different view from
the city, the lake and the volcano. |

Letelier street. It allows to go around the edge of Villarrica
lake, until arriving at Pucara Beach, a good place to walk,
to take pictures and to enjoy their waters.
